What is an infinity-corrected objective?

An infinity-corrected objective is a microscope objective designed to be used in conjunction with an infinity-corrected tube that will give you a longer working distance than a normal DIN-type objective.

In most microscopes, the tube length is empty and all the magnification is done using the lenses in the eyepiece and the objective. The image from an infinity-corrected objective is collimated (parallel light) prior to being imaged by the secondary lens assembly.

With an infinity-corrected system (objective and tube), a lens system is actually contained within the tube, which is required in order to form an image from the objective. This allows the objective and the entire microscope to be placed farther away from the sample, allowing users the added room to maneuver the sample being viewed. The major disadvantage of using infinity-corrected objectives is that you must have a tube lens or the system will not focus.

Brief Introduction:

iMet-230DIC Industry check and measure microscope is suitable to observe surfaces structure and geometry of workpiece.

It equips with excellent UIS optical system and modularization function design so that update system expediently and achieved polarization, DIC observation.

Lift or down the optical and illumination unit along the leader to adjust the distance from stage to objective, so that enable using for different thickness workpiece.

Quickly and effectively locate the observation part of workpiece by moving the mechanical stage. The motion of the focusing is roll that the roller bearing moved guiding the trigon slideway, so that the moving process is smooth.

This is ideal optical instrument for checking and measure in the field of precision part, integrated circuit, packing material etc.

Metallurgical microscopes provide polarization which makes it much easier to view a variety of minerals, types of metals and even ink samples. Material defect analysis is performed with a metallurgical microscope in search of the causes of corrosion, fatigue, stress fractures and cracks. Environmental protection and oil production often use metallurgical microscopes and in particular they may utilize both the high magnification and polarization features of the metallurgical microscopes.
